HISTORY OF RODWAY HILL GOLF COURSE

Rodway Hill Golf course, built in 1990 and opened in 1991, sits on the Western side of the city of Gloucester between the river Severn and the Royal Forest of Dean. Originally just 9 holes, it was soon expanded to a full 18 hole, 6000 yards plus, course and has extensive views across the City of Gloucester to the Cotswold hills. Good use of the natural features of the land and thousands of young trees has turned this into a course which will test golfers of all abilities whilst not discouraging the less experienced player.

With a program of continuous development, the present owner is committed to enhancing the present layout and facilities to the benefit of all members and visitors.
