Competitions
at Rodway Hill
Rodway
Hill Golf Club enjoys a large number of competitions and exchange days
and encourages new and existing members to take part. If you are on
your own then don’t worry. All you need to do is keep an eye on the
club notice boards in the changing rooms. Enter your name on the list
and (in most cases) your preferred tee time. Then, a little over a week
before the competition takes place a list will be posted on the notice
board and on our forum. All you need do is turn up at least 15 minutes
before your designated tee time and ‘check in’ with the starter who
will be in the bar. The usual charge for a competition is £3 per entry,
though charity events may be more and league events are usually free
to enter.
If
this is your first event or you are unsure about the format of a particular
competition, the starter will be more than delighted to help you out
and introduce you to your playing partner(s).
All
that’s left for you to do is make your way to the first tee in good
time and enjoy the round. At the end, you will have exchanged scorecards
and will either deposit the completed card in the competition box in
the shop (monthly medals and stableford competitions) or hand it to
the competition organiser in the bar (all other competitions). Monthly
Medal and Stableford competition winners will be posted on the notice
board and the forum.
There
are many types of competition held and a summary can be found here.
