Competition Formats
Main Club Competitions
Monthly medals	are held on the 2nd Saturday each month, with the midweek medals on the following Wednesday, and the Ladies medals on the 3rd Saturday monthly. For the Men's Monthly Medals, there are 3 playing Categories, up to 12 Handicap, 13 to 20 and handicaps of 21 or more.
Winter League	Better-ball matchplay played on the last Saturday of each month between October and March. (The December dates tends to change to accommodate the Christmas period)
Gwyn Morris	Better-ball Stableford played on the Sunday closest to 17 February
Founders Trophy	Knockout singles matchplay with the first round held on the 1st Saturday in April and the final on the last Saturday in September. Intermediate rounds are played by set dates
Founders Plate	Knockout singles matchplay with the first round held on the 1st Saturday in May and the final on the last Saturday in September. Intermediate rounds are played by set dates. Open only to the 1st round losers in the Founders Trophy
Spring Foursomes	Foursomes competition played mid/end April
Nimar	Singles Stableford played 1st Saturday in June
NS Pyramid/ Club Championship	Medal Play (Championship decided over 36 holes) played 3rd Saturday in June
Jim Brady	Better-ball Stableford played last Saturday in June
E C Shield	Team competition 36 holes of mixed format (currently under review) Played in July
Presidents Day	Singles Stableford played 1st Saturday in August. Ladies section to this competition as well
Captains Day	Format varies and is decided by the Captain. Usually early September
Howells & Brewer	Mixed better ball Stableford played on a Sunday towards the end of September
Medal Shoot out	Shootout competition played 1st Saturday in October open only to the overall winners of the monthly medals
Scratch League	Singles Matchplay played through the summer months with the final on the last Saturday in September
Finals Day	The finals of the various knockout competitions and Scratch League are played (if possible) on the one day
Ladies Competitions
Summer Eclectic	9 hole card built up by selecting a score for each hole from a range of cards, resulting in what should be the best card possible. Played during the summer months
Winter Eclectic	9 hole card built up by selecting a score for each hole from a range of cards, resulting in what should be the best card possible. Played during winter months.
Matchplay	Singles matchplay knockout played from May to September
Captains Day	Varied format (decided by the Lady Captain), usually played end June/early July
Presidents Day	Singles stableford usually played in August
Winter League	Singles match play
Sioux Hatcher Cup	Mixed greensomes stableford played first Saturday in November. Separate men's competition if demand is sufficient.
Ladies Stablefords	Informal monthly Stableford competition open to all ladies who wish to play.
Seniors Competitions
Seniors Champion	Individuals best 4 Gross scores in Mid Week medals determine the Champion. Best 4 net scores determine the Aggregate winner.
Winter League	Four ball, better ball Matchplay usually starting September/October. Under review in light of recent weather.
KO & Plate	Singles matchplay Knockout between April and August. First round losers enter the plate.
East v West	Team competition between those living to the East and West of the River Severn. Format is notified, and the match is played between May and July
Captains Day	Format decided by the Seniors Captain, played August/September
Matches	A programme of friendly matches with other clubs is arranged each year between April and October
Fun Days	Varied formats on an informal basis, every available Wednesday
Away Days	Society type days to other clubs usually July and December. Occasionally longer breaks might be arranged
